This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal and financial information when you use our rent-tracking mobile application. Konnach Kira requires no account and no sign-up, and it works entirely offline — your data stays on your device.
Information We Collect
Konnach Kira operates entirely offline and locally on your device. The following information is stored locally on your device only:
- Properties, units, and leases you create (names, addresses, rent amounts, due dates)
- Tenant information (names, phone numbers, notes)
- Rent payments and expenses (amounts, dates, payment methods)
- Photos of cheques or invoices you choose to attach to payments
- Application settings (language, theme, reminder preferences, PIN)
All data is stored exclusively on your device using a SQLite database and secure storage mechanisms. We do not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers or cloud services. We do not use analytics or tracking of any kind.
Device Permissions
Konnach Kira only requests permissions that power a feature you explicitly use, and everything they touch stays on your device:
Contacts
Used only to fill in a tenant's name and phone number when you pick one from your address book. Your contacts are never uploaded — they stay on this device.
Camera & Photo Library
Used to take or attach a photo of a cheque or invoice to a payment. Attached photos are stored locally with your data and are never transmitted.
Face ID / Biometrics
Used to unlock the app if you enable biometric protection. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system — the app never sees or stores it.
Notifications
Rent reminders — before due dates, when a payment is late, and weekly or monthly summaries — are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push-notification servers are involved.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of the application:
- Tracking rent payments, due dates, and outstanding balances
- Generating PDF rent receipts and per-lease statements on your device
- Preparing WhatsApp reminder messages that you review and send yourself
- Building reports such as collection rate, arrears ageing, and occupancy
- Storing your preferences and settings
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to any third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any other commercial purposes. When you share a receipt, statement, or backup file, you choose the destination — nothing is shared automatically.
Data Security and Protection
We implement multiple layers of security to protect your financial data:
PIN & Face ID Protection
You can lock the app with a PIN or Face ID. Your PIN is stored securely using encrypted storage on your device and never leaves it.
Local Storage
All data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This database is not accessible to other apps or external services.
No Network Transmission
Since the app operates offline, your data never leaves your device. There is no risk of data interception during transmission.
Backup & Restore
You can export your data as a single backup file at any time. You choose where that file goes — we never receive a copy. We recommend keeping your device updated and using device-level security.
In-App Purchases
Konnach Kira offers an optional Premium upgrade through Apple's in-app purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment details. Purchase receipts are validated on your device to unlock Premium features.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because all data lives on your device, you are in full control. You can edit or delete any record inside the app at any time, and uninstalling the app permanently removes all of its data from your device. Backup files you exported remain wherever you saved them and are yours to keep or delete.
Children's Privacy
Konnach Kira is a property-management tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and since the app collects no data on our servers, we hold no information about any user, child or adult.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
